TELPAS Training Center Maintenance
The TELPAS Online Training Center will be offline for scheduled maintenance and updates beginning July 2, 2018. A notification will be sent to training center users who completed the 2018 TELPAS calibration training requirements. The notification recommends users retrieve certificates and/or scoring summaries prior to the training center going offline. After the training center is offline, certificates and scoring summaries will no longer be available, ad accounts will be purged from the site. Change in TELPAS Reporting Dates
Initial standard reports for the 2018 Texas English Language Proficiency Assessment System (TELPAS) administration will not be available on May 14 as indicated in the 2018 Calendar of Events. Reports will only be available on the final report date, August 15. However, data files will still be available on May 14. The data files will include only raw scores. Updated data files that include scale scores will be available after performance standards are established.
TELPAS Listening and Speaking Headset Test
Pearson has created a Headset Test for districts to test connection, recording, and audio playback of their headsets prior to the TELPAS Listening and Speaking assessment. This test is available now. To test your headsets, open the TestNav app, click on Practice Tests, and select “Start” next to “TELPAS Headset Test.” To download TestNav 8, visit https://support.assessment.pearson.com/x/HgACAQ. 2017 TELPAS RELEASED TESTS
The 2017 TELPAS reading released tests for grades 2–12 are available only through the TestNav 8 login screen in the installable TestNav app under the Practice Tests link. The TestNav app is available for download at http://download.testnav.com/. Answer keys are available at TELPAS Released Tests.
ITEM ANALYSIS REPORTS
Individual Student Item Analysis Reports and Item Analysis Summary Reports for TELPAS assessments were provided as of August 4, 2017. Item Analysis Summary Reports will be available at the campus, district, and regional levels. These reports will be provided as PDFs in the Assessment Management System.
