ECP Teachers of Promise

The Region 13 Educator Certification Program (ECP) is pleased to announce that 17 of their current teacher interns were chosen as Austin Independent School District 2012-2013 Teachers of Promise.

The Teacher of Promise program encourages each school in Austin ISD to choose a first year teacher who exhibits promising classroom practice. The district’s goal is to recognize first year teachers who demonstrate an overall understanding of the components of good teaching and reveal outstanding potential as an educator.

Teachers who are eligible for Teacher of Promise must be:

  • A first year teaching professional who demonstrates an overall understanding of the components of good teaching
  • A first year teaching professional who reveals outstanding potential as an educator
  • A first year teaching professional who exhibits a strong commitment to the profession
  • A first year teaching professional who spends the majority of their day teaching children in a classroom

Region 13’s ECP is proud to have been a part of the training and support of these promising new educators. ECP Teachers of Promise for 2012-2013 are: Lourdes Rodriguez, Desirae Johnson, Laura Schwartz, Shanna Hamilton, Johnathan Nelson, Leticia Garza, Elizabeth Albee, Eric Crawford, Priscilla Jenkins, Dara Marshall, Enrique Trevino, Isadora Vail, Elvia Green, Evelyn Ramirez, Saray Maldonado, Lorraine Page and Jeremy Myers.
