Reading Instruments Report

It’s time to begin thinking about completing the Reading Instruments Report. The report was traditionally included in the ARI/AMI Consolidated Report and then in the SSI Grant Final Evaluation Report.

The report will be available through eGrants beginning July 5. After logging in, the district representative will find a “Reading Instruments
Report” folder in the drop-down menu. The report consists of 2 sections – (1) contact information and (2) ER10-11 – Reading Instruments Report. A guidance document explaining how to provide the TPRI data in Part 3 of the report is attached.

Just as before, a district may also indicate that it did not use TPRI.  If a district did not use TPRI, the rep will be asked to provide the name of the reading instrument(s) used in Part 4 of the report. Part 5 asks for the name of the reading instrument used for grade 7 students who did not pass the spring 2011 administration of the Grade 6 TAKS Reading. Part 6 asks for the name(s) of Spanish reading instruments used in grades K-2.

The report is scheduled to go live July 5 with a closing date of September 30, 2012.

Attached is the list of reading instruments that meet the criteria  for 2012-2013 (2012-2013 Commissioner’s List of Reading Instruments).
