TEDxYouth Austin

During the November 1, 2012, Curriculum Council meeting, Ed Vara allowed me to speak about TEDxYouth@Austin.  This letter is a followup to that presentation.  I appreciate Ed’s willingness to send it out to the Curriculum Council.

On March 30, 2013, central Texas high school and middle school students will come together to hear engaging stories and see inspiring performances and intriguing presentations at TEDxYouth@AustinTEDxYouth@Austin is operated under license from TED and is independently organized by a steering committee of area youth.

This is a unique opportunity for Central Texas youth to think, discuss, and act with insight about “ideas worth spreading”.  We want students from all area secondary schools to have the opportunity to learn about and consider attending TEDxYouth@Austin.  Almost 300 students are already registered and the event is limited to 700 students.  Registration closes on February 15, 2013.

Please see the attached letter and flyer for more information.
