Online College and Career Readiness Resource Center (OCCRRC)

The Texas Education Agency posted a “To the Administrator Addressed” letter on Friday regarding a New Free Resource:

“The Texas Education Agency is excited to announce a new suite of college and career readiness tools available to districts and campuses.

The Online College and Career Readiness Resource Center is a comprehensive tool for college and career development in Texas, ranging from the broad “What does it mean to be college and career ready?” to the specific “Supporting First-in-Family College Attenders.” The OCCRRC provides over 250 free resources, videos, and interactive activities, along with the most current research and best practices available for college and career readiness. Continuing education credits are available for individuals who wish to earn credit for the professional development opportunities within the site.

Visit the site to see what’s available: www.txccrsc.org

Please share this announcement with anyone who may be interested in the tool including counselors, teachers, parents, and students.

For other information related to this site, please contact Sara Grunberger at sara.grunberger@tea.state.tx.us, or by phone at (512) 936-6060.”

Our plan for the November Curriculum Council meeting is to provide an overview of this new resource. ESC Region 13 contacts are Steve Frank (steve.frank@esc13.txed.net) and Gena Helton (gena.helton@esc13.txed.net).
