TRC Math/Science Grant Planning Meeting

The Texas Regional Collaboratives provide professional development to teachers in the areas of math and science through grant funds.  Teacher Mentors (TMs) who participate receive intensive, TEKS aligned, research based professional development (100+ hours per grant cycle) and in turn share the information and resources with cadre members (CMs) back on their campus (CMs receive 24 hours of PD through the grant).  In addition TMs and campuses receive resources to implement activities.

ESC Region 13 will be seeking Local Education Agencies and other interested institutions as partners in our Texas Regional Collaboratives grant for 2013-2014 for both math and science.  At the meeting ESC staff will present our proposed plan for serving teachers in your district and solicit feedback regarding grade level and content focus, institute topics, data collection, and benefits to schools and districts.  Attendance at the planning meeting is recommended but not required to become a partner district.  ESC 13 Grant applications will be provided at a later date and will be due to us February 1, 2013.
