CIMA Presenter Preview: Gloria Rangel and Evelyn Salazar

CIMA 2018 is only 4 days away. With so many great guest speakers and breakout sessions being offered we thought you might like a preview, so we asked our presenters a few quick questions to help you plan your conference.

Today we continue our series with Gloria Rangel and Evelyn Salazar, Bilingual Cluster Specialists. Here’s a little more about their session:

Gloria and Evelyn, what is the title of your breakout session? 
Engaging the Limited Language Learner using TPR/Games in Science/Math
Give us a quick preview of the content – what are you going to cover? 
Bilingual teachers will be sharing Total Physical Response, games and technology to successfully engage the limited language learner and increase their reading, writing, listening and speaking skills. The presentation will cover 3-5th grades and K-2 grades.
This year the call for presenters at CIMA is specifically open to stakeholders in the Bilingual and ESL field. Who is a good fit to attend your session?
Bilingual Teachers
How will your session contribute to improving learning outcomes for language learners? 
Improve the learning of reading, writing, speaking and listening. The use of collaboration and purposeful talk frequently during the content areas.
What else would you like for participants to know about your session? 
Recommended for ELLs but useful for any students in the ESL classroom.
