This training is designed as a training of trainers to help educators become familiar with a new resource, the ELPS Instructional Tool. This guide will provide educators with insight into the essential instructional components for supporting ELLs identified at the beginning and intermediate levels of English proficiency and effectively design and deliver instruction to better meet the needs of these students. The training will provide an overview of the components of the guide, including the language development process, the Proficiency Level Descriptors, and an overview of the varying degrees of linguistic accommodations for each language domain. Participants who attend the training will receive copies of the ELPS Instructional Tool and training materials for their district. Please keep in mind that the individuals who attend the training will be responsible for disseminating the information to their appropriate staff. Please register through the ESC ecampus system.
