Sheltered Instruction Webinar Series

Are you seeking interactive and at-your-fingertips methods for increasing engagement for your ELL students? This five part webinar series will cover the key components of sheltered instruction to make content comprehensible for ELLs.  Throughout the series, participants will receive information about requirements, practical classroom application of strategies, as well as a variety of easy-to-use resources.  During the course of the series, teachers will also create a model sheltered lesson plan for their classroom.  Live webinars will be held weekly and will last approximately one hour.  The following topics will be covered:

March 24, 2015- Webinar 1:  The ELPS and Differentiating Instruction

March 31, 2015- Webinar 2:  Developing Academic Language

April 7, 2015- Webinar 3:  Accessing Prior Knowledge and Building Vocabulary

April 14, 2015- Webinar 4:  Student Interaction

April 21, 2015- Webinar 5:  Learning Strategies and Assessments
