New Release: Fine Arts Teachers – This One’s For You. Project Share has Fine Arts Curriculum and Integration Resource

For those of you who know me personally, you know how big a fan I am of Fine Arts.  In fact, I was an Art Major in college.  I have also become a raging fan of iTunes U (the “U” means university), and Texas partnered with Apple in creating the Texas Education section of iTunes U.

So to my great delight, I discovered that the Center for Educator Development in Fine Arts provided a brand new, thirteen part video based PD series in iTunes U Texas.  This content is free and very good.

The series started on March 29th of this year and already has eight topics published.  There are four sections on assessment, two on drama, two on music, one on art curriculum, one on dance, one on music, one on theatre and one on fine arts for all students.

If you teach fine arts, or know someone who does, please connect with this series.

To access, go to www.projectsharetexas.org and click the “Available on iTunes” icon on the left.  This will launch iTunes (if installed) and take you directly to the Texas Education section of the store.  From that blue screen, find “Fine Arts” in the categories menu on the right   You will see the yellow-ish icon for Fine Arts Curriculum & Instruction.
