Case Study: How One School District Uses Project Share/OnTRACK with Students

Greetings readers,
This post is most specifically for high school core area teachers, curriculum staff and Project Share administrators. With all the buzz and activity surrounding OnTRACK courses for students, I thought you would appreciate viewing how one school district , Tyler ISD, has organized this effort. They have a 7 minute YouTube video  that is designed for student viewing. “Demonstrate how to get started in OnTrack courses for Algebra 1 and Biology for Tyler ISD students.  I think it is a really good model for communicating with students and teachers on expectations and “how-to’s” concerning this project.  The video covers:

  • Tyler ISD’s cyber safety and online behavior policies (reference to access)
  • log in, profile basics
  • Tyler ISD’s approach to student enrollment in courses
  • basic navigation and participation for students
  • assessment taking

Please take one minute to tell us what is happening with OnTRACK in your school.
