Technology Planning and Reporting Still Required in Texas Schools – April 23rd Update

Today, TEA published a “To The Administrator Addressed” letter which answers questions concerning the requirements for technology planning and reporting for this school year (2011-2012).  According to the letter:

“While funding for the No Child Left Behind Act (NCLB) Title II, Part D–Enhancing Education Through Technology program of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA) was discontinued, the law is still in effect and the agency has not received any official instructions to end reporting requirements. Therefore, ePlan, the Texas Campus and Teacher STaR Charts, and NCLB Technology Reporting continue to be required for school year 2011-2012. The reporting window for the NCLB Technology Reporting opens on May 1, 2012 and will close on June 29, 2012.”
