Required Professional Development for CTE Courses for Mathematics or Science Credit Notice

On Monday, August 6th, TEA sent a “To The Administrator Addressed (TAA)” letter * informing districts of the release of two courses through Project Share for all teachers assigned to teach one or more the following courses. These teachers must participate in Texas Education Agency (TEA)-approved training prior to teaching the course effective with the 2012-2013 school year.

•Advanced Animal Science

•Advanced Biotechnology

•Advanced Plant and Soil Science

•Engineering Mathematics

•Engineering Design and Problem Solving

•Food Science

•Forensic Science

•Mathematical Applications in Agriculture, Food, and Natural Resources

•Statistics and Risk Management

These courses are ”CTE 101” and “Science Safety for High School”. Information necessary for enrolling in these courses is located at this link http://www4.esc13.net/instructional-technology/online-professional-development-instructional-tech/ in the CTE table.
