Knocking out Illiteracy!

The conference formerly known as Hill Country Library and Literacy Summit is BACK with a new look and a new name!

The Region 13 Library & Literacy Summit (LLS) will be a day filled with learning, networking and fun all centered around increasing literacy for Texas students.  Librarians, teachers, literacy specialists, interventionists, and instructional coaches of all grade levels are invited to join us on Monday, March 25, 2013 as we start our day with an entertaining and inspirational message from Texas author David Rice.  Following Rice’s keynote we will offer breakout sessions on topics ranging from interactive research to assisting struggling readers to integrating technology into your literacy strategies.  Jan Hasbrouck will be on board to offer her wisdom and expertise for student-focused literacy coaching.  We will have several Texas authors on hand inspire you and give you ideas for bringing out the budding authors in your schools.  A boxed lunch is included in your registration fee, and we will have vendors available to help you bridge the gap between ideas and products.
