Groundwater to the Gulf (G2G) Field-trip Institute

Groundwater to the Gulf (G2G) is a field-trip based institute for Central Texas teachers that emphasizes techniques for teaching water-based curricula. Participants follow the path of water in Central Texas from its origins to its final destination in the Gulf of Mexico. Topics include: hydrology, groundwater, urban watersheds, water quality, water protection, and water conservation.

This training about our water resources has been provided to teacher for over 10 years at no cost, with field trips and expert presenters in Central Texas. It is a collaboration including:

  • Barton Springs Edwards Aquifer Groundwater District
  • Keep Austin Beautiful
  • Colorado River Foundation
  • Austin Youth River Watch

  • Texas Parks and Wildlife
