Collaborating for Inclusion

The Power of Inclusion: Co-Teaching workshop at Region 13 is an updated version of the Power of Two. While participants still acquire best practice approaches to co-teaching, there is an added emphasis on planning for, and navigating, the multiple partnerships that often go into a campus’ inclusion program.

There are still a few seats available for Friday’s free workshop (FA1327000) and there will be another one-day version of this workshop on October 28, 2013 (FA1327001). Registration for the October workshop is $45. Both workshops will be on-site at Region 13.

Including students with disabilities in the general education classroom is both a challenge and an opportunity. Educators will need to collaborate to successfully meet the needs of these diverse learners. Participants will gain many ideas for creating a caring, structured, and engaging environment where students follow multiple pathways to accomplish learning outcomes.
