Preparing for SUCCESS after STAAR Modified

How do we prepare for the elimination of STAAR Modified in the 14-15 school year?  There are steps we can take to bridge the transition from our current instructional and testing methods to the new instructional and testing expectations.  This workshop is designed around seven considerations for the development and implementation of a transition plan that will lead to ultimate SUCCESS.

Participants will learn how to accommodate and modify instruction in the math classroom as well as for assessments including STAAR.  Hands-on experiences will be provided to show how to meet the needs of a diverse population.

Power of Inclusion

Including students with disabilities in the general education classroom is both a challenge and an opportunity. Educators will need to collaborate to successfully meet the needs of these diverse learners. Participants will gain many ideas for creating a caring, structured, and engaging environment where students follow multiple pathways to accomplish learning outcomes.
